The foundation intends to award up to four (4) annual scholarships to qualified students who have graduated from high school in St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as those who have graduated from the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, and Nevis Sixth Form College

This will be a fund that will assist students with payment of educational expenses associated with studying in the United States. The program will provide up to four (4) annual scholarships to enable recipients to attend a college, university, technical or trade school or school of art throughout the United States. The scholarships will be in two parts. The first part will pay for the full amount of tuition, room and board and associated fees charged by the institution. These monies will be paid directly to the educational institution.

The second part will be an annual stipend for the recipients to cover any other additional and miscellaneous expenses occurred during the course of study. Most foundations only fund the direct educational expenses and leave it up to the individual to take care of the miscellaneous expenses that are associated with college life. The Liamuiga Education Foundation is going a step further to ensure that recipients are able to complete their studies without any financial burden. The scholarship program will be funded through the foundation’s general investment fund and encompass all the foundation’s time and resources.

Through the scholarship program, the foundation will further its exempt purpose of supporting and developing programs for improving educational opportunities for underprivileged youth in St. Kitts and Nevis. The board will coordinate with high school and preparatory school guidance or career counselors in St. Kitts and Nevis in order to publicize the program. Applicants will be required to go through an application process and meet the minimum requirements to be considered eligible.
