A board and scholarship committee will be formed for the evaluation and selection of recipients. The board will review the information included in the scholarship applications. The board may also conduct applicant interviews on an as-needed basis.

The board will award scholarships to well-deserving applicants who are assets to their community and can demonstrate the inability or difficulty in pursuing full time, on-campus studies due to financial or other hardship. This may include coming from a disadvantaged home, members or racial or ethnic groups, or poverty stricken. Scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who are related to members of the board or scholarship committee.

Once the application and other required documents are reviewed, the board will then meet to determine whom the scholarship will be awarded to. The application will be notified following the decision. This process may take between 30-45 days after the receipt of the completed application.

The board will send a scholarship acceptance letter to the applicant with requirements that must be met in order to maintain the scholarship.

The following states these additional requirements:

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA during the scholarship period
  • Maintain a full-time student status while enrolled at the educational facility
  • Submit semi-annual progress and expense reports to the foundation, including transcripts , pay stubs, and details about the recipient’s extracurricular and community activities.
  • Be an asset to the school or community by the way of positive personal involvement and support.

Awarded applicants will be required to sign an agreement to acknowledge that he or she will comply with the terms of the scholarship. The foundation will review the semi-annual progress and expense reports to ensure that all criteria are being met and that funds are appropriately being used. At the end of the scholarship period, the recipient will be required to submit a final progress and expense reports for the foundation records.

If a scholarship recipient is found to have violated any of the terms of the scholarship, the scholarship will be terminated with all outstanding and future payments canceled. Any funds that are refunded by the educational institution that originally came from the Foundation must be returned to the Foundation.
